Consultant and Translator

ChildCare Vietnam, Inc. (CCV), a U.S.-based NGO devoted to improving the care of abandoned, orphaned, and disabled children in Quang Nam province, seeks a part-time consultant and government liaison.

Location: Hanoi, Da Nang, or Quang Nam province

Job duties:

• Advise CCV on documents required and procedures for obtaining PACCOM approval
• Represent CCV before PACCOM
• Negotiate and draft Memoranda of Understanding with Quang Nam province officials
• Assist in search for permanent Country Director
• Provide English/Vietnamese translation and interpretation as needed to carry out the above under CCV supervision

Requirements:

• Fluency or near-fluency in English
• University degree
• Experience working with government agencies; experience with PACCOM registration process would be especially useful
• Commitment to helping the needy
• Must live in, or be willing and able to travel frequently to, Tam Ky
• Must be available 5-10 hour per week and willing to travel periodically between Hanoi and Central Vietnam
