Communications Intern
Position: full-time for 2.5 months (mid July – end October), starting immediately
Location: SNV’s country office in Hanoi
Context: SNV is a leading provider of capacity development services globally, operating in 35 countries around the world to reduce poverty through supporting national and local actors
within government, civil society and the private sector to find and implement local solutions to development challenges.
In Vietnam SNV works in almost all provinces, with focus on the following key areas:
- Agriculture and Forest Products
- Pro-poor Sustainable Tourism
- Renewable Energy
- Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
- Climate Change
Key duties and responsibilities: The Intern will assist Vietnam Communications Officer and Regional Communications Coordinator with:
- Vietnam webpage/intranet update
- BMU-Adaptation webpage development
- Newsletter (REDD, Vietnam) template development
- Publication production monitoring
- Photo library development
- Translation/interpretation
- PR materials distribution
Requirements:
Skills and qualifications
- Excellent English language comprehension and communication skills
- Proven knowledge and experience in communications
- Good MS Office computer application skills
The intern should possess the following competencies:
- Eager to learn and share knowledge
- Able to work independently
- Pro-active and confident to ask questions, advice and for clarifications
