The Norwegian Mission Alliance Vietnam (NMA-V) invites applications from highly qualified Vietnamese nationals for the position as Senior Project Officer.

The main responsibility will be to manage a community development project in the Mekong Delta area, currently focusing on education, environment, livelihood and health. This position includes being part of the organization's project management group, and will be actively involved in the planning and strategy processes on organizational level. This implies substantial interaction with our Microfinance and Inclusive education projects.

CARE International in Vietnam is a Non-Government Organization representing the CARE International network in Vietnam since 1989. CARE in Vietnam’s Program Strategy is explicitly oriented around achieving impacts for particularly vulnerable and marginalised groups in Vietnam. To achieve this, we work with Vietnamese partners across sectors such as health services, rural livelihood development, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. We recognise that women’s empowerment is a critical pathway for poverty reduction and place women and girls from marginalised population groups at the heart of our programming efforts.

Young children learn through play and achieve better learning outcomes when exposed to a stimulating environment. But as identified in the baseline evaluation, most observed teachers in the project sites still used rote teaching/learning and did not facilitate children’s learning through play.  To build up capacity for preschool teachers skills on how develop and organize learning activities through play exploring the local cultural practices and supporting children’s better learning the education curriculum, Plan in Vietnam is seeking a consultant/team to conduct a 4-day TOT training for key preschool teachers on learning through play activities for children.

Program Officer based in Qui Nhon, Binh Dinh

DAI and VNAH are implementing a USAID funded program of Comprehensive and Integrated Support to People with Disabilities in Danang, Dong Nai and Binh Dinh. We are recruiting a Vietnamese national program officer and a program assistant based in Qui Nhon.

Employment duration: 18 months, ending September 2015.

Requirements: University or higher level of education in international development, health or social studies; a minimum of 5 years of experience (for program officer position) and 2 years (program assistant) in developmental, NGO works; experience in disability, social work is a plus; must be fluent in spoken and written English.
