Education for Development (EFD) works with local (Vietnamese) social organisations to improve and expand their educational services for disadvantaged children and youth. EFD firmly believes these services should be provided and managed by Vietnamese organisations. Thus, it is EFD's mission to assist Vietnamese organisations with the resources and capacity to provide effective, direct service to disadvantaged children and youth so they can have the opportunity to develop themselves to their full potential. “If you give me a fish, I will eat today…. History of operations in Vietnam
Education for Development (EFD) is an international organisation that was set up in 1996 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Since then, EFD has increased the range, scope and number of its activities, and developed into a dynamic and multicultural team of staff and volunteers. EFD is recognized as having a genuine commitment towards projects that have sustainable outcomes. The organisation has an impressive record of successful projects.
