History of operations in Vietnam
In 1993, DKT International in Vietnam (DKT Vietnam) was the first social marketing organization to arrive in Vietnam. The products that are currently sold under our social marketing framework focus on the areas of family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention. From 1993 until Oct 2009, DKT sold 690,8 million condoms and 40.9 million Newchoice contraceptive pills. From these results it is estimated that we have helped to prevent 9,829,428 unwanted pregnancies and 38,353 cases of HIV transmission among Vietnamese people.
