History of operations in Vietnam
ADRA began working in Vietnam in 1988 with shipments of medicine from ADRA United States. Between 1989 and 1993, ADRA’s activities in Vietnam were administered by Dennis Tidwell from Thailand, in conjunction with ADRA work in Laos and Cambodia. ADRA in Vietnam has implemented many projects in six sectors: disaster relief, health, credit and savings, income generation, education and training, and water and sanitation. ADRA in Vietnam has managed projects in over half of the provinces throughout the nation.
