WB, ADB, Finland Help Supply Clean Water to 73% of Urban Population
The World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and Finland have provided loans to projects to help supply clean water to 73% of Vietnam’s urban population with an average daily capacity of 90 liters/person. Currently, water factories in urban Vietnam have a combined capacity of producing 5.9 million cubic meters a day, up 0.5 million cubic meters from the 2008’s figure, said the Ministry of Construction. Vietnam has so far reduced its rate of water leakage to 30%.
