Vietnam to Tighten Inspection on Food for Lunar New Year Festival

Nguyen Thanh Phong, deputy head of VFA was quoted by the newspaper as saying that during a period from Jan 01 to Feb 14 the inspection teams will focus on major food products such as alcohols, meat and meat products and others in wholesale markets, supermarkets in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Haiphong, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Can Tho and other. Local authorities in cities and provinces will also tighten inspection on food safety and hygiene in localities.
