Vietnam Southern Province to Support for Ethnic Students

Vietnam’s southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau will grant VND4.3 million/year to each ethic student, including those studying at private and non-private universities, colleges and intermediate schools. The supporting rate will be applied for only ethnic students who have permanent households in the province, the Vietnamese government said on its website. However, Ba Ria-Vung Tau will not apply the assistance for ethnic students who are cadres and officials. Currently, the province is home to 20 ethnic minorities with 6,216 households living in districts of Xuyen Moc, Chau Duc, Tan Thanh and Dat Do.
