Vietnam Southern Province to Invest $9.57M in Health Projects by 2014

Vietnam’s Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap has approved a VND186.7 billion ($9.57 million) project to build seven health agencies in the 2010-2014 period. The project will be built on an area of 2,879 square meters in Cao Lanh city, the Thanh Nien newspaper reported Nov 8, giving no details about the project’s timetable. Currently, Dong Thap has 5,396 medical workers. On average, it reports 4.75 doctors for every 10,000 residents and 0.28 pharmacist for every 10,000 locals.
