Vietnam Province Starts JICA-funded Biodiversity Protection Project
Vietnam’s central highland province of Lam Dong Mar. 22 started a $3.8 million project funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to protect biodiversity in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park.
The four-year project is aimed to enhance the national park’s management of its natural resources and biodiversity through a community-based approach, and to turn Bidoup-Nui Ba into a ecotourism and ecologically-friendly park. Located in the north of Dalat City, the 64,800-hectare park is rich in biodiversity, the Tien Phong newspaper reported Mar. 23.
