Vietnam Province Spends VND38B to Build Resettlement Areas for Ethnic People

Vietnam’s central province of Thua Thien Hue spent VND38 billion ($1.94 million) to build three resettlement areas for ethnic people. The projects are slated for completion in 2012, the Phap luat Tp HCM newspaper reported on Oct 14. Local authority will supports house, land and expense and allocate foods in six months for up to 147 households in mountainous districts of Nam Dong and A Luoi. (TpHCM - HCM City Law Oct 14 p2)
