Vietnam Province Approves $14.66M Solid Waste Treatment Plant

Vietnam’s central province of Quang Ngai authorities have approved Hoang Long Real Estate Tourism Investment Joint Stock Co. to build a VND280 billion ($14.66 million) solid waste treatment plant. Covering on a site of 10 hectares in Nghia Hanh district, the plant will have a capacity of 200 tons of domestic solid waste a day, the Thoi bao Kinh te newspaper reported Mar. 6. The facility, which is slated for implementation from now up to 2011, is also expected to produce organic and microorganism fertilizers serving agriculture production, mixed plastic products from the waste.
