Vietnam Province Aims VND70.69B for Water Supply Systems in 2010

Vietnam’s northern province of Thai Nguyen targets to build clean water supply systems with total investment of VND70.69 billion this year, aiming to help an additional 6% of its population gain access to clean water. Dinh Hoa district aims to spend VND5.7 billion on building eight clean water supply networks from now up to 2015, benefiting 4,700 local households, the Nong Thon Ngay Nay newspaper reported Aug 27. There are five reservoirs of Bao Linh, Lang Gay, Na Tac, Ban Pieng and Bo Vang in Dinh Hoa district, which mainly serves for agriculture production. Locals in many communes of the district have not yet provided with clean water, including Trung Luong, Trung Hoi, Binh Yen, Phuong Tien, Phuc Chu. (Nong Thon Ngay Nay – Countryside Today Aug 27)
