Vietnam PM OKs VND65B to Help Three Localities Cope with Floods

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has asked the Ministry of Finance to allocate VND65 billion ($3.5 million) from its state budget to help three localities to evacuate locals from floods, landslides-prone areas. Ha Giang province will receive VND35 billion, Nam Dinh province VND20 billion and Haiphong city VND10 billion, the Nong Nghiep Viet Nam newspaper reported Thursday. The PM also assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to grant 830,000 doses of foot-and-mouth vaccine, 331,000 doses of swine fever vaccine, 677,000 doses of cattle pasteurellosis vaccine, 215,010 liters of Benkocid and 55,000 kilograms of Chlorin to 14 provinces and cities to overcome the consequences of typhoon Ketsana.
