Vietnam Firms Start Building $3.61M Wastewater Treatment Plant in Central

Chu Lai Industrial Zone Infrastructure Development Company and Seen Technical Joint Stock Company began the construction of a wastewater treatment plant worth over VND69 billion ($3.61 million) in Vietnam’s central province of Quang Nam July 28. The plant covering one hectare in the North Chu Lai Industrial Park (IP), will have a designed capacity of 3,800 cubic meters a day once operational in late 2011, the Tuoi Tre newspaper reported July 29. The facility will be the second one of its kind in the province-based IPs, the newspaper added. North Chu Lai IP, which is one of five IPs based in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, has attracted 22 investment projects totaling more than VND11.4 trillion so far, including 12 operating plants.
