Vietnam Bank Offers Free Medical Checkups to 300 Poor People

Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) has coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society to provide free-of-charge medical checkups and medicines for more than 300 locals. The program benefited the poor in Binh Phuoc province, especially cataract patients in need of operation, the Van Hoa newspaper reported Oct 13. In September, the bank also carried out a similar activity to help over 300 people in Dong Nai province. (Van Hoa – Culture Oct 13 p9)
