Vietnam Approves 3 Units to Build Germany-funded Training Center
The Vietnamese government has agreed on the Ministry of Planning of Investment’s proposal to select three units to build a Germany-funded training center in Hanoi. The units selected for the Vietnam-Germany Training Center comprise Labor Development Company (Ladeco), CNT vocational training school in Hai Duong province and Haiphong Polytechnics College. At the Consultative Group Meeting held in Hanoi in December 2009, Germany pledged EUR137 million in ODA for Vietnam in 2010, accounting for 12.7% of EU’s total aid for the Southeast Asian nation this year. Vietnam now has around 2,200 students studying in universities in Germany.
