Sweden Funds $615,315 for Power Supply Project in Central Vietnam

The International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) of Sweden has assisted VND11 billion ($615,315) to Vietnam’s central province of Quang Nam to build a 75-kW power plant to bring electricity to Cotu ethnic minority people in the locality. The province will start building the VND15-billion plant within this year, the Thanh Nien newspaper reported. Once fully operational after 11 months of construction, the small plant is expected to generate 16,459 kWh a year, benefiting 277 Cotu households in Ga Ri commune of Tay Giang mountainous district.
