Programme Officer; Programme Manager
World Vision International - Vietnam invites Vietnamese competent candidates for the positions:
1. PROGRAM OFFICER (1 position), working for the ECHO – funded “Typhoon Ketsana Emergency Recovery and Rehabilitation Program” in Quang, Tri, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces. This position is based in Hanoi with extensive travel to the field areas, five-month contract with possibility of extension and a very competitive salary and benefit package.
Main Responsibilities: Under supervision of the National Relief and Disaster Mitigation Coordinator, ensure day-to-day management of the project activities in the target areas.
Requirements:
- University degree in relevant field;
- Three years of practical working experience with community level;
- Reasonable planning, monitoring and evaluation skills;
- Experience of budgeting;
- Excellent report writing and training skills in both English and
- Vietnamese languages;
- Experience of working with NGOs with strong emergency preparedness and response components. Previous experience in an international NGO is a prerequisite;
- Proven project management and coordination skills;
- Experience with implementation and management of grants, especially the ones from EU is an advantage.
- Good computer skills.
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written English.
2. PROGRAM MANAGER (1 position). The work-base to be confirmed, either in Dien Bien or Yen Bai or Thanh Hoa or Hung Yen.
Main Responsibilities: To assist the Regional Programs Director in providing the strategic directions for the program by working with the community and the team to design and develop project plans, implement project activities to achieve stipulated objectives, and to transfer the ownership of the program’s development to the community members.
Requirements:
- University graduate in any field, preferably in education, health, community development, or social studies.
- 3-4 years relevant work experience in community development including demonstrated capacity in program management.
- Well-developed leadership skills including representation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing and supervising staff.
- Excellent English skills.
- Good computer skills (word processing, excel).
- Work at district level.
