PM Approves $2M ADB-funded Socioeconomic Development Project

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a technical assistance project for socioeconomic development of Thanh Hoa City costing $2 million funded by the Asian Development Bank. The project is aimed at expanding water supply network, upgrading 65 kilometers of drainage and wastewater pipes and building wastewater treatment facilities in the city.  The project is scheduled to be completed in December 2014. The ADB has pledged $1.5 billion in loans for 16 projects and programs in Vietnam this year compared to $1.9 billion last year.
