Norway to Fund $150M for Environment Projects in Vietnam by Year-end
Norwegian authorities said they would consider an aid of $100 million-$150 million for environment projects in Vietnam by the year-end, the government said on its website late June 16. The commitment was made during Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai’s five-day visit to Norway ended June 16. The projects will focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions due to degraded forest, protecting biological diversity and water sources. The Southeast Asian country will spend VND6 trillion for environment protection activities this year.
