JICA Funds $4.062M to Enhance Quality of Electric Equipment in Vietnam
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has recently signed a deal to fund JPY350 million ($4.062 million) for a project to improve the quality of electric equipment and electricity in Vietnam. Under the project, Japan will help train Vietnamese officials, the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s newspaper reported on its website. JICA will also send their experts as well as equipment to assist Vietnam to gradually enhance its capacity of making plans and policies on electric and electronic standards. The 3.5-year project will be kicked off in November, 2011.
