JICA to Fund $5.3M to Raise Capability of Vietnam Health Workers

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will fund JPY505 million ($5.3 million) for a training project to improve capability of Vietnamese health workers which is slated to start in July. JICA and the Vietnamese Ministry of Health signed a minute of discussion on the project in Hanoi May 31, the Vietnamese government said on its website May 31. The five-year project will be carried out in Hanoi-based Bach Mai Hospital, Hue Central Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City and some other hospitals nationwide. The participants will be provided with practical knowledge and skills in various fields, including hospital management and anti-bacterial contamination.
