Japanese AEON Group Funds $3.1M for Central Vietnam School Building

Japan’s international retailing group AEON Co., Ltd. granted $3.1 million on May 12 to a project to build 30 primary schools in Vietnam’s central province of Thua Thien-Hue in the next three years. The Vietnamese side will contribute the reciprocal capital of $5.5 million to the project, the Vietnam News Agency said. The Japanese group will send 300 volunteers and give financial assistance to help the province grow over 34 hectares of forest in Phu Loc district by 2015.
