Japan Will Help Train Vietnam Kid Cardiovascular Surgeons

The International Medical Center of Japan (IMCJ) will help train cardiovascular surgeons for kids for Bach Mai Hospital of Vietnam, the Dai Doan Ket newspaper reported Feb. 24. IMCJ and the Vietnamese hospital signed an agreement on Feb 22, which is part of the plan by the hospital to set up a cardiovascular surgery center for kids. Once in place, the center will improve healthcare services for kids with inborn heart diseases, the newspaper said. The Southeast Asian country identifies more than 12,000 kids infected with inborn cardiovascular disease a year.
