Italian Universities Want to Boost Ties with Vietnam Partners
Italian universities are willing to cooperate with Vietnamese partners in student exchanges and undergraduate and postgraduate training, said officials from the schools at a recent meeting with Vietnam Ambassador to France Dang Khanh Thoai. Irrigation, maritime mechanics, bio technology, healthcare and architecture are potential fields for the cooperation, the Quan Doi Nhan Dan newspaper reported Mar. 8, citing the ambassador. Vietnam now ranks the second in Asia in terms of sending students to France. About 6,000 Vietnamese students are learning there. Governments of Vietnam and France are actively promoting a cooperation program to train 2,000 Vietnamese PhDs in the future.
