Indonesia Grants 120 Wheelchairs to Vietnam AO/Dioxin Victims
The Indonesian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City Saturday granted 120 wheelchairs to AO/dioxin victims in Vietnam’s southern city of Can Tho, the Vietnam News Agency said Mar. 29. The wheelchairs, to be donated through the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (VAVA), will help the unlucky people integrate into the community. The move is also aimed to strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two countries, the agency added. Around 4.8 million Vietnamese people are exposed to the deadly toxic chemical sprayed by U.S. troops during the Vietnam War and more than three million of them are facing health problems resulted from the exposure.
