IMM Japan to Receive 1,000 Vietnam Trainees This Year
The Association for International Manpower Development of Medium and Small Enterprises (IMM Japan) will receive 1,000 Vietnamese trainees for a three-year technical training program this year, said IMM Japan president Kyoei Yanagisawa. An agreement on the issue has been signed by the Vietnam Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) and the Japan IMM, the Phap Luat newspaper reported Mar. 23, citing the president. Vietnamese candidates will receive training at IMM Japan member companies and plants. They will not have to pay any fees during their training time and receive around JPY100,000 ($1,114) each year from the association. Japan started receiving Vietnamese trainees in 1992. Currently, more than 17,000 Vietnamese trainees are practicing and working in Japan.
