Hong Kong’s Group Assists Disadvantaged Children in Vietnam
The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) has granted 148 scholarships worth $20,000 to 148 children from Nguyen Dinh Chieu and Xa Dan secondary schools. The scholarships, funded by Hong Kong’s Sun Wah Group, were given to disabled children and children facing financial hardship. The foreign group also granted $30,000 to the NFVC to build a kindergarten in Bong Lai commune, Que Vo district, Bac Ninh province. This is the third year the group has granted scholarships to disadvantaged pupils from Nguyen Dinh Chieu and Xa Dan secondary school through NFVC. (Phap Luat Vietnam - Vietnam Law Oct 13 p2)
