Hanoi Approves AIC Company to Build $31M Waste Recycling Plant

Hanoi authorities have approved AIC Company to build a $31 million waste recycling plant in Soc Son District’s Nam Son Commune, state media reported, citing an AIC company official Thursday. Equipped with the world’s advanced technologies, the plant that has a daily capacity of recycling 2,000 tons of waste will be built for 5-7 months, said AIC’s Director Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan. The plant will convert waste into compost fertilizer which will be for exports to Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, Nhan noted. The city now discharges 3,600 tons of waste a day.
