GMS Conference on Public Health Opens in Vietnam Central City

The second Great Mekong Sub-region (GMS) International Conference on Public Health opened in Vietnam’s central city of Hue on August 30, the Voice of Vietnam Radio said late Aug 31. During the two-day event entitled “Challenges and Opportunities in Public Health Research and Training Cooperation in the Globalization Process”, nearly 50 scientific reports have been presented.  This is a good chance for participants to share their research results on existing public health issues in GMS countries, thus seeking measures to boost effective public health cooperation in the sub-region in particular and Southeast Asia in general.
