French, Vietnamese Doctors Exchange Advanced Technologies
As many as 500 French and Vietnamese professors and doctors exchanged advanced technologies in prevention and treatment of cardiovascular, diabetes and mental diseases at a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City Jan. 27. The French Servier Pharmaceutical Research Institute and the International Co-operation Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Health co-held the seminar to mark the 14th France-Vietnam Medical Day. The number of people contracting the diseases in northern Vietnam increased to 16.03% in 2002, up from 1.9% in 1976.
