French Embassy Helps to Hold Healthcare Conference in Hanoi
The French Embassy, the Association Franco-Vietnamienne D’uro-Nephrologie (AFVDUNE) and Bach Mai Hospital organized a healthcare conference in Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi on Mar. 4. Around 200 foreign and domestic leading experts gathered at the two-day event to discuss kidney and related-diseases, the Suc Khoe & Doi Song newspaper reported March 9. During the conference, the participants also exchanged experiences in medical check-ups and treatment, aiming to provide better healthcare services for local patients. In 2010, the Southeast Asian country will spend VND50 trillion ($2.62 billion) or 8.6% of the total state budget for the health sector.
