Dak Lak Province Gives Vocational Training to 5,932 Ethnic Minorities

The central highlands province of Dak Lak has given vocational training to nearly 3,000 laborers this year, bringing the total number of rural laborers who have received free vocational training over the past three years to 9,159 people, including 5,932 ethnic minorities. Cultivation and breeding techniques, plant protection, repairing of agricultural machines, civil and industrial tailoring and applied informatics have been the primary industries receiving labor training. After the training courses, some 10-12% of laborers received jobs in the industrial tailoring industry, wood processing and motorbike repair in neighboring provinces, 20% of the laborers find jobs in the province and some 30% create self-employment by planting crops, breeding techniques and agricultural machine repairing, a recent survey by the provincial Department of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs showed.
