Community Worker “Inclusive Education”
Handicap International France (HI F) is a non-governmental organisation created in 1982. HI mission is to assist people in situations of disability or vulnerability, whatever may be the underlying cause and environment. This is done through the implementation of multidisciplinary programmes concerning prevention, treatment, empowerment, integration and emergency intervention. HI has worked in Vietnam since 2001 and is developing projects targeting people living with disabilities, extremely vulnerable persons and persons living with HIV or AIDS.
HI is seeking for a candidate willing to integrate and participate in their project and team as a:
Community worker “inclusive education”, based in our project site in Bac Kan
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of project activities
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of activities
- Participate to report writing
- Maintain a good communication and cooperation with local partners and media
- Work closely with the project manager, project officer and other HI staff in Bac Kan and Hanoi
Requirements:
- Willing to learn English
- Willing to learn more about (inclusive) education, disability and project management
- Knowledge of and working experience in education, special needs education, inclusive education, social work or in a related field
- Basic report writing skills (in Vietnamese)
- Can work autonomously, under pressure and meet deadlines
- Candidates must be willing to live in Bac Kan
Initial contract (full time) will be for a period of one year.
Position reserved for national Vietnamese people.
