Belgium Grants EUR10M to Wastewater Treatment Project in Central Vietnam
The Belgian government has donated EUR10 million to a project to build a drainage system and a wastewater treatment plant in Vietnam’s central province of Ninh Thuan. The province will contribute over EUR3 million in reciprocal capitals for the project, the Voice of Vietnam Radio said late July 6. The project will be implemented in Phuoc Dan, Khanh Hai towns and Ninh Phuoc and Ninh Hai districts, aiming to improve environmental sanitation here. The project also includes training courses to help local authorities manage water sources more effectively. Early June, the Belgian government also approved EUR10 million in official development assistance (ODA) for an upgrading project of clean water supply system in the southern province of Tra Vinh.
