ADB to Help Vietnam Develop Infrastructure System

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has committed that will provide further support for infrastructure development in Vietnam next years, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Haruhiko Kuroda said. Kuroda made the commitment at a recent meeting with Vietnamese Minister of Transport Ho Nghia Dung in Hanoi, the Giao thong Van tai newspaper reported Nov 3.  The Southeast Asian country is using effectively capitals through projects funded by the ADB, he noted. ADB has recently agreed to provide a $1 million non-refundable loan to help Vietnam to increase efficiency in road transport management and attract investment for road transport projects. The bank is also researching on capital mobilization method for Vietnam’s North-South Expressway Project, which is estimated to cost $17.9 billion. (Giao thong Van tai – Transport Nov 03 p2)
