HCMC INGO Discussion Group Meeting on 16 july 2010

The members of the INGO community in HCMC will meet again at the occasion of their quarterly HCMC INGO Discussion Group Meeting on Friday 16 July.

Besides the usual agenda items such as announcements by participants, review and agreement on the minutes of last meeting, feedback from the thematic working groups, the group intends to share ideas and concerns about fundraising.

A more detailed agenda will be circulated through the HCMC INGO mailing list.

HCMC- INGO Discussion Group Meeting

This is regular meeting of HCMC- INGO Discussion Group Meeting. Mr. Marko Lovrekovic, the managing Co-Director of the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre in Hanoi will join and update the Resource Centre's activities at the meeting for members in the South.

- Update and outlook on RC activities and plans; information on pending legal regulations
- Feedback and plans for 2010 of the thematic working groups
- Planning of the quarterly meetings (April, July and October), topics and discussions in 2010

Meeting opportunities

There are 3 meeting opportunities for you:

 

1) The HCMC INGO Discussion Group meets on a quarterly basis in a meeting room provided by HUFO at 31 Le Duan, District 1, HCM City. Invitations to meetings are sent through the mailing list.

 

Besides the official meeting, the INGO community organizes 2 monthly social events:

 

2) Every first Friday of the month, the HCMC INGOs organise a luncheon to offer the opportunity to people from the INGO community to meet and socialize over lunch. Practical details will be sent timely through the mailing list.  The location is Sesame Restaurant, Hospitality School for disadvantaged children, 153 Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, Binh Thanh District, HCM City.

What is the purpose of the HCMC INGO Discussion Group?

The INGO Discussion Group (formerly the INGO Child Discussion Group) provides a forum for the sharing of information, knowledge and experience. Its aim is to act as an entry point for more concrete forms of coordination or collaboration in areas such as research, training, as well as advocacy and policy dialogue.
The INGO Discussion Group meets on a regular quarterly basis at the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO).
