POSITION SUMMARY
Gender Advisor is responsible for driving CARE in Viet Nam’s work to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment institutionally, programmatically, through advocacy efforts and with partners. SNV has obtained the support from International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to implement the “Partnering for value: Promoting Public – Private – Producers Partnership (4Ps) in IFAD-funded value chain development projects. The 4P project aims to broker mutually beneficial partnerships between the public sector, the private sector and small-scale rural producers within the framework of IFAD-funded Value Chain Development Projects in five selected countries (including Vietnam, El Salvador, Mozambique, Senegal, and Uganda).
The SME Development Project in Tra Vinh Province is funded by Canada (Global Affairs of Canada). The project life is from 2014 to 2020. One of the medium term outcomes of the project is to increase quantity and improve competitiveness of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Tra Vinh Province.
The project has 3 components which are closely related each other.
